Way out in the HMA's outback is a herd of very wild horses. There was a band- very weary, but enough of a curiosity about us kept us in their visual, giving us great photo opps. I sure liked many of the mustangs out there- a variety of colors, builds, and personalities. This rich mahogany bay (minimal white pinto) stallion was one who certainly captured my attention.
He has a gimpy ear. It didn't look torn or bitten, but likely had the back of the cartilage damaged some time ago, perhaps even as a youngling. He has a beautiful face. His conformation is correct, has big intelligent eyes, a wavy long mane and forelock, and a two-toned tail.
He's one of a number of stallions of a lovely band of horses. I hope to find him again.
