Patriot has a new foal

His mare, her two year old filly, and new foal were resting in the shade under a juniper, and he was out and stayed between us and his little family. Which has been typical. He's also one of those solitary stallions, which prefers to keep his family band isolated from other bands. There were no other bands for miles that we were aware of. He will not tolerate other stalli...ons in this perimeter, much like Cortez, and Arrow.
Which is why we were surprised that last year, he seemed to have "adopted" a two year old black/white colt, we refer to as Oasis.
That didn't last too long as he drove Oasis out, soon as his new foal was born. Oasis is now running with a wild group of young bachelors.
His new foal looks very identical to the older filly, Echo, down to the blaze with a hook, only the hook faces the other direction.
